Welcome to the INFORM PhD Program!

Join an ambitious project of excellence supported by the French Ministry of Research that will open doors to a career in international science!

As you enter our INFORM PhD program, you join an intellectual vibrant community of biologists, mathematicians and physicists, committed to the same objective: exploring signal flow and organization at the cell membrane, without any theoretical or technical limits. In particular the project aims at focusing on quantitative analysis, a poorly-understood aspect of signaling.

 How to apply (2015 campaign)

You should have a french or foreign university Master degree or equivalent allowing you to enter a PhD program by the admission period (July 2016). If you are preparing your diploma now and do not have it yet, please just join your student record with grade and marks for the previous year and 1st semester.  We encourage graduate students from different backgrounds to apply, biologists but also engineers, physicists and mathematicians.

Candidate might be invited for a SKYPE interview around April.

Interviews of selected applicants will take place between May 30th and June 6th 2016 (all fees covered by us). During 2-3 days you will have the opportunity to meet all the group leaders involved in the INFORM project and students from the different institutes.

The selected PhD students will start in October-November 2016.

As a student entering the PhD program you will pursue your research in one out of the 12 teams of the INFORM project in a network spirit: first you will be supervised and mentored by 2 researchers from different collaborating teams who are experienced in training students. Second, all selected students will be enrolled in a 3-weeks course on quantitative biology to maximize integration and develop a student network spirit. As a student in our program you will also receive an interdisciplinary training in cell biology, physics and mathematical modeling of signaling.

As you join the program you will also receive a competitive stipend covering living expenses and medical insurance. In addition the program provides the necessary financial support to attend workshops and advanced training courses. Travel and accommodation grants for rotation in international laboratories are also possible.
